Ujjain: When will the lunar eclipse or solar eclipse occur? What is the time of sunrise and sunset? When is the good time? Many such accurate information can be obtained from Vedic Ghadi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate this watch on March 1. This will be the world’s first digital watch, which will not only tell Indian Standard Time (IST) and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) but will also give information about Panchang and 30 Muhurat.
An 85-foot-high tower has been built at Jantar Mantar near Jiwaji Vidyashala in Ujjain. A 10×12 Vedic clock will be installed on it. Director of Vikram Shodh Peeth Shriram Tiwari said that this clock will be the first clock in the world, in which Indian time calculation will be shown. It is noteworthy that Ujjain has been considered the center of time calculation. The Tropic of Cancer passes through Ujjain. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav wants to make Ujjain the center of time calculation. He had said during the assembly session on December 22, 2023, ‘The state government will work to transfer the Prime Meridian from Greenwich, England to Ujjain. For this, we will do research in the Vidhyashala of Ujjain.’ Experts say that till 300 years ago, the standard time of the world was determined from Ujjain only. The country’s first validshala (presently Jiwaji validshala) was built by Raja Jai Singh II in 1729 in Ujjain. A ‘sun clock’ was made here to check the time. With this, the time of cities across the country including Ujjain can be estimated.
