This is the highest number of new patients received in a single day so far. Earlier, on April 28, the highest number of 3.79 lakh patients was identified.
Amid rising corona cases, the death toll from Covid-19 is also rising. 3498 patients died in the last 24 hours. This is the third day in a row that more than three thousand people have died. In the past 2 lakh, 97 thousand 540 people also recovered. There are 31 lakh 70 thousand 228 active cases in the country. Due to the increasing cases of the corona, India has now reached number two in the world. The U.S. has the highest number of 6.8 million active cases.
According to the Ministry of Health data, 1 crore 87 lakh 62 thousand 976 people have been infected with Corona in the country so far. So far 1 crore 53 lakh 84 thousand 418 people have recovered from the infection of this virus. The death toll from this virus has risen to 2 lakh 8 thousand 330.
Corona kills 89 in West Bengal
Coronavirus killed 89 people in a single day in West Bengal on Thursday, bringing the death toll to 11,248. The health department informed that after the confirmation of 17,403 new patients in the last 24 hours in the state, the total number of cases has increased to 8,10,955. The department said in a bulletin that 1,10,241 patients are being treated for the infection in the state while 12,885 patients have recovered from the infection since Wednesday. At least 53,724 samples have been tested during this period.
In Maharashtra, 66159 cases in 24 hours
In Maharashtra, Corona’s is not stopping. According to the Department of Health, 66,159 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported on Thursday and 771 patients died. The total number of infected people in Maharashtra increased to 45,39,553 while the total number of deaths increased to 67,985. A health department official said that 68,537 patients were discharged from hospitals when they recovered.
In Gujarat, 14,327 new cases of corona came to light
The Gujarat Health Department said that 14,327 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in the state, bringing the total number of infected to 5,53,172. In the last 24 hours, 180 patients died, bringing the death toll to 7,010. This is the highest single-day death figure for Covid patients in the state. In the last 24 hours, 5,258 new cases were reported in Ahmedabad city. During this time, 9,544 patients were discharged from hospitals in the state, bringing the number of cured patients to 4,08,368. The recovery rate of patients in the state is 73.82 percent. Currently 1,37,794 patients are undergoing treatment.
