New Delhi: There have been more than 94 lakh cases of Covid-19 Pandemic infection in the country so far. Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry has issued new guidelines for the prevention of corona from December 1 to December 31. The New Covid Guidelines are effective from today. As per the Home Ministry guidelines, states have been asked to strictly implement corona infection prevention measures, to control crowds. This time the focus of the government is more on controlling the crowd.

what exemptions have been given in this new guideline of the government and what things are still banned:

  • The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the States / UTs to take strict coronavirus prevention measures, SOPs on various activities, and mandatory measures to control congestion.
  • As per the new guidelines of the government, strictness will continue in the containment zone. Whereas, persons above 65 years of age and children below 10 years of age are advised to stay at home.
  • The government has given full leeway to the state governments for the decision to impose a night curfew. Now it is up to the state governments whether they will impose a night curfew or not according to the corona cases. The time of night curfew will now be decided by the state governments.
  • Only essential activities are allowed in the containment zone. The local district, police, and municipal officers will be responsible for ensuring that the prescribed containment measures are strictly followed and the State / UT Government will ensure the accountability of the officers concerned.
  • Before implementing any kind of local lockdown outside the containment zone, the governments of the states, union territories have to seek permission from the center.
  • The new guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs also have restrictions on cinemas, theaters, swimming pools, etc. Cinema halls will still run with 50 percent capacity.
  • The government has kept the number of wedding guests at 200, but the guidelines state that state governments can increase the number to 100 or less, depending on the corona cases there. The Delhi government has increased the number of guests attending the wedding to 50. In UP this number is 100.
  • As per government guidelines, the surveillance team will conduct door-to-door monitoring and immediate isolation of corona patients with treatment facilities will be ensured. Meanwhile, the use of Arogya Setu mobile app will continue to be encouraged.
