New Delhi: The 42nd Indian International Trade Fair (IITF) started at Pragati Maidan in Delhi on 14th November and will continue till 27th November. The trade fair is the largest of its kind in the country, showcasing products and services from various states and sectors of India, as well as 13 other countries. The trade fair is open for business visitors till 18th November and for the general public from 19th November onwards. The trade fair covers an area of 1.03 lakh square meters and offers a variety of stalls and exhibits for visitors. However, entry to the trade fair is not free, and visitors have to buy tickets to enter the fair.
The trade fair is a great opportunity to explore the diversity and potential of India’s economy and culture, as well as to interact with foreign delegates and exhibitors. The trade fair is open from 10 am to 7.30 pm every day, and visitors can enjoy the displays, demonstrations, cultural programs, and food stalls at the fair. The trade fair also has a theme pavilion, which showcases the achievements and initiatives of the central government in various fields.
The ticket prices for the trade fair vary depending on the category of visitors and the day of the week. The ticket prices are also different for adults and children. The ticket prices have not been increased from the previous year, and are as follows:
- For weekends/holidays (19, 25, 26, 27 November), the ticket price for adults is Rs. 150, and for children is Rs. 60.
- For weekdays (20 to 24 November), the ticket price for adults is Rs. 80, and for children is Rs. 40.
The tickets for the trade fair can be easily purchased from 55 metro stations in Delhi, from 9 am to 4 pm. However, tickets will not be sold at Pragati Maidan and Supreme Court metro stations, due to the crowd and congestion. Alternatively, visitors can also book tickets online from the website of the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) here.
Entry to the trade fair can be done through gate number 1, 4, and 10 near Pragati Maidan metro station. However, gate number 1 will not be open for general visitors. The parking facility for vehicles will be available at Bhairon Marg. Visitors are advised to follow the Covid-19 guidelines and safety protocols while visiting the trade fair.
