Bhopal: Hunting for tigers should not be less, so 1300 chital will be sent from one tiger to another. 300 Chital Sanjay Gandhi from Bandhavgarh Reserve and 1000 Chital Nauradehi and Satpura Tiger Reserve from Pench will be sent. Their shifting will last from October to March 2021. This scheme of MP Forestry Department has received approval from MP Forest Department. This is also the reason for shifting – Sanjay Gandhi Tiger Reserve is in Sidhi district. It has more than 12 tigers, but fewer chital. Leaving chital will give tigers easy prey, while the number of cheetals will also increase.

Satpura Tiger Reserve is in Hoshangabad. It has both chital and deer, but the number of tigers is also increasing, so the cheetahs will be shifted.

The Pench Reserve extends to Chhindwara and Seoni districts. There are thousands of chital, which have been sent to other reserves from time to time. – There is no shortage of cheetahs in Bandhavgarh Reserve. It enters the fields bordering the reserve. This causes damage, so they will be sent to Sanjay Gandhi Reserve from here.

There is no shortage of prey for tigers and the number of cheetahs also remains balanced, so we are working on a plan to send them from one reserve to another. Will complete shifting by March 2021.
