New Delhi: The work of the country’s grandest Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is going on at a fast pace. This expressway is passing through Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. The work of this 8-lane expressway has been completed in Madhya Pradesh. This expressway is passing through 3 districts of MP Jhabua, Ratlam, and Mandsaur. It is expected that soon this section of the 244.50-kilometer-long expressway in Madhya Pradesh will be opened to the general public.

Route of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in MP
The length of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will be 50.5 km in Jhabua, 91.1 km in Ratlam, and 102.8 km in Mandsaur. In Madhya Pradesh, 8 intersections will be built in this expressway, through which state roads will also be connected to it. Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Route Map) Ujjain, Dewas, and Indore will also be connected. Ratlam located in MP will be the center point of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Trauma centers, hotels, restaurants, and food courts have been prepared at the rest point near its border. The special thing is that a helipad has also been built here. Patients can be airlifted in case of emergency.
From Talawada in Jhabua, this expressway will reach Ratlam from Mahudi Ka Mal. Then passing through Kumhari of Rawati, Sailana, Piploda, and Javra, it will go from Lasudia to Mandsaur district. 87 villages of Ratlam district will come on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. On this expressway, you will be able to enter from Shamgarh Road in Garoth and Neemthur in Bhanpura. In the Mandsaur district, an entry will also be found from Sitamau. The logistics hub will be made in Garoth and Javra. Mumbai-Delhi Expressway will increase connectivity between business centers like Jaipur, Kishangarh, Ajmer, Kota, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat
Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will be connected to Indore
The central government is planning to spend Rs 3600 crore to connect the city of Indore, which is called the commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh, with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. For this, a new highway is being built between Dewas, Ujjain, and Garoth. This road will connect Indore with the expressway. For this NHAI is making 4 lane highway, this work is being done in 2 phases. In the first phase, a 41.42 km long highway will be built between Dewas to Ujjain. More than Rs 716 crore will be spent on this and the work will be completed by July 2023. In the second phase, this highway will connect Ujjain with Garoth, its length will be 136 km. Rs 2906 crore will be spent on this and it will be completed by May 2024.
Why is the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway special?
Let us tell you that the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is an ambitious project of the Government of India. This expressway will connect the two biggest financial hubs of the country, i.e. the national capital New Delhi and the financial capital of India, Mumbai. This 8-lane expressway is the world’s first longest expressway which can be extended to 12 lanes.
The 1350 km long Mumbai Delhi Expressway will pass through 5 states including Haryana (129 km), Rajasthan (373 km), Madhya Pradesh (244 km), Gujarat (426 km), and Maharashtra (171 km). More than 15,000 hectares of land have been used for its construction.
