New Delhi: On the complaint of women wrestlers (Wrestlers Protest), Delhi Police has registered 2 FIRs against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in the sexual harassment case. On the other hand, the wrestlers protesting against Brij Bhushan at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar have accused the Delhi Police of pressurizing them to end the protest. He alleges that the police have cut off the lights at his Dharna site and by closing all the gates are not allowing even the goods he ordered to come inside.

Bajrang Punia, who was involved in the protesting wrestlers, released the video on Instagram and said, we want to show the truth of Delhi Police to the people of the country. The lights at the protest site have been cut off. All gates are closed. The ACP clearly told the wrestlers to do whatever they want, neither water nor food will be allowed inside. This is the behavior of the Delhi Police.

The person who brought the goods was thrashed and chased away
After this, Bajrang Punia said in a conversation with the media, ‘We had ordered some goods but they (police) are not allowing us to bring them here and are beating up the person who brought the goods. Till justice is not delivered, we will protest, no matter how much the police administration tortures us.

On registering an FIR against WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, wrestler Bajrang Punia said in a conversation with news agency ANI, ‘The police said that if you want to protest then sleep on the road. What kind of pressure has come on them today, there was no such problem before, it has happened only because of the pressure of the Supreme Court.

The future of women wrestlers should be secured
While talking about continuing the protest, another wrestler Satyavrat Kadian said, ‘It is good that the FIR has been registered. What will we get from FIR? Will we get justice from the FIR? Delhi Police should have registered an FIR on the very first day itself. Our on-paper battle has just begun. Now let’s see what our legal team and coaches have to say. We are demanding that wrestling be separated from politics and that the future of our women wrestlers is secured.

Let us tell you that the Delhi Police has registered a case against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh under the POCSO Act, while the other case has been registered in relation to outraging the modesty. In fact, while hearing the petition of women wrestlers, the Supreme Court had agreed to register an FIR against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. However, despite this, the wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar are not ready to end their protest. He says that he will continue his protest till the BJP MP is put behind bars and removed from all his posts.
