NASA will send Lunar Lander prepared by private company by 2024, an American space organization. The engine with the help of which a woman will be sent to space for the first time, is named BE-7. Bezos gave information about this in an Instagram post. This engine was tested at NASA’s Space Flight Center in the same week. Bezos has also shared this video in his post. Blue Origin has been preparing this BE-7 engine for the past several years. Ultimately, this engine has also been matched to 1,245 test-fire times.

Jeff Bezos wrote in his post, ‘This is the engine that will take a woman to the moon’s surface for the first time. The BE-7 is a high-performance liquid hydrogen / oxygen lunar landing engine with a capacity of 10,000 lbf thrust. ‘

The ‘National Team’ of Blue Origin is the private contractor for this engine, which has assembled it in 2019 to prepare the Blue Moon lander. The team also includes Lockheed Martin Corporation, Nothrop Gumman Corp and Draper.

Preparations for getting the contract from NASA
For the past several years, Jeff Bezos’ company Blue Origin has been offering claims for government contracts. His company is competing with Dynetics of SpaceX and Leidos Holdings Inc of billionaire Elon Musk to get the contract for Human Lunar Landing System.

In April, NASA gave Blue Origin to the Lunar Lander Developmet Contract for $ 579 million. SpaceX received a contract to build the starship system for $ 135 million and Dynamics for $ 253 million.

By March 2021, NASA will select any two of these companies and then their lander prototype will be prepared. This lunar mission is to be completed by 2024. But insufficient funds for the landing system by the US Congress have increased uncertainty about this mission. At the same time, the perspective of the space missions of the Biden Administration has raised concern about the carcass in NASA’s program.
