Jaipur: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has officially rescheduled the Revenue Officer (RO) and Executive Officer (EO) recruitment exams for March 23, 2025, following a major scandal involving paper leaks and electronic cheating at test centers. The original exam, held on May 14, 2023, was marred by a massive leak that led to widespread disqualification and disappointment among candidates, while others welcomed the additional preparation time.
Paper Leak Investigation: Electronic Devices and SIT Probe Reveal Widespread Cheating
On May 4, 2023, a complaint lodged at Naya Shahar Police Station in Bikaner sparked an investigation that exposed cheating on a large scale. By August 6, 2023, the challan confirmed that advanced electronic devices were used by candidates at various exam centers, compromising the integrity of the test. With 96,483 candidates competing for just 111 RO and EO posts, the stakes were high, driving the RPSC to involve the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and the Special Operations Group (SOG) to uncover those responsible.

RPSC Reschedules Public Relations Officer (PRO) Exam to May 17, 2025
In light of the new RO-EO exam date, the RPSC has also postponed the Public Relations Officer (PRO) recruitment exam to May 17, 2025. Originally scheduled for March 23, 2025, the shift allows for proper scheduling and reduces logistical overlap with the RO-EO exam.
New Guidelines and Security Measures for March 2025 Exam
The RPSC has assured candidates that the rescheduled exams will be conducted under enhanced security protocols to prevent future malpractices. Eligible candidates will receive updated admit cards, with exam centers likely to have increased monitoring and restricted electronic access.
With these new dates and tightened protocols, RPSC is set on restoring trust in its recruitment processes while offering candidates a fair opportunity to compete for these coveted positions.
