Rafael Nadal defeated World No.1 Serbian star Novak Djokovic in straight sets 6–0, 6–2, 7–5 in the final. This match lasted for 2 hours 41 minutes. Djokovic, who landed the 18th Grand Slam title, could not stand in front of Nadal. This is Nadal’s 100th win over his Roland Garran.

Actually, Nadal and Djokovic faced for the 8th time in the French Open and Nadal won for the 7th time. Talking about overall Grand Slam, it was the 16th match between the two and Nadal has won the 10th.

Before Novak Djokovic defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semi-finals in a five-set marathon match and made it to the French Open final. At the same time, Nadal defeated 12th seed Diego Schwartzman in the semi-finals of the French Open by 6.3, 6.3, 7.6.

Ega Switek won the women’s singles title
Earlier on Saturday, 19-year-old Ega Swiatek won the women’s singles title of the French Open. Poland’s Ega Switzek defeated America’s Sofia Kenin in straight sets in the final. Not only the final, he did not lose a single set in the entire tournament. This is his first Grand Slam title. With this, Ega Switzek became the first player from Poland to become the French Open champion in singles.
