4 civilians killed in Kamalkot
According to media reports, four civilians were killed in firing on the Pakistani side in the Kamalkot sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from Kamalkot in Uri, ceasefire violation also took place in Gurez sector of Bandipora and Keran sector of Kupwara district.

Suspected intrusion foiled
Srinagar Defense Spokesperson Rajesh Kalia said, “Suspicious activity was spotted at the advance check posts in Keran sector near LOC on Friday morning. Troops thwarted a suspected infiltration attempt. The Indian Army said that mortars were also fired at Keran sector from Pakistan without any reason.

A defense spokesman said the army foiled an infiltration attempt after which firing began. Rajesh Kalia said, “The Indian Army is giving a blunt answer.”

The second intrusion attempt failed in a week
This is the second attempt of infiltration within a week. Earlier, infiltration in Machil sector was foiled on the night of November 7-8. During this three terrorists were also killed. Three soldiers, including a captain and a BSF jawan, were killed during the operation. “The Indian Army is fully prepared to thwart all attempts by Pakistan to infiltrate terrorists,” the spokesperson said.
