Jalgaon: A helicopter crashed on Friday evening in the Jalgaon district of Maharashtra, killing one person in the helicopter and injuring another. A police official said the incident took place at Wardi village in the Chopda area of ​​the district in the Satpura hills area. He said the incident was reported at 5:15 pm.

“One person aboard was declared brought dead by the hospital authorities, while another person was injured,” the official said. He said one of the occupants of the helicopter was a woman, but it was not immediately clear who was driving the helicopter.

Order to investigate the matter
Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has condoled the Jalgaon incident. He tweeted, “Shocked to hear about the tragic accident of a training aircraft belonging to NMIMS Academy of Aviation, Maharashtra. An investigation team is being sent to the spot.”

He said, “Unfortunately, we lost the flight instructor and the trainee was seriously injured. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayers for the speedy recovery of the trainee.
