Nalanda: A curfew has been imposed in the Nalanda district of Bihar. Violence broke out once again after Friday. The firing started near Paharpur of Biharsharif in the district after an altercation between the two sides. During this, 30-40 rounds of firing took place from both sides. In the firing, each of the two sides was hit by a bullet, and 17-year-old Gulshan died. With the information of setting fire to a religious building, the nuisance increased so much that Section 144 did not work to control the tension. The country’s Home Minister Amit Shah has reached Patna to visit Sasaram and Nawada during his Bihar tour. Tension in Nalanda district, adjoining Nawada, has led to curfew, while violence in Sasaram had already forced the cancellation of his program.

Nitish’s home district is tense since Friday
The uproar in Nalanda, the home district of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, began on Friday with clashes between two sides during a Ram Navami procession. Internet was shut down on Friday following the imposition of section 144 in a large part of Nalanda district headquarters Biharsharif following firing, vandalism, and arson. The situation remained tense even on Saturday morning. Police continued to conduct flag marches in the violence-affected areas on Friday, but suddenly violence broke out in Paharpur, located about a kilometer away from there. Despite the information in Section 144, open firing started between the two sides.

One injured one died due to a shooting
In the firing on Saturday, Mohd. Bullet to a person named Taj and Gulshan. The uproar kept on increasing after people from both the different sides were seriously injured. Gulshan died at around 8.30 pm. Meanwhile, some miscreants set fire to a shrine building. After this incident of arson, violent incidents started happening in different places.

More violence on the second day
Section 144 was imposed in the district following the violence that broke out on Friday. Along with this, internet service was also stopped. On Sunday, the idea of removing Section 144 and restoring internet service was going on that on Saturday evening more fierce violence broke out than the day before. Many were injured in the firing on Friday as well, but one died in the firing on Saturday. Apart from this, there was an attack on shops and houses on Friday, but the situation is not being handled after the shrine was targeted on Saturday.

Chief Minister is appealing for peace, monitoring also
Till Saturday, a total of 8 cases related to factional violence were registered in the Nalanda district. Of these, 7 were registered in Laheri and 1 in Bihar police station. In these, the police have registered a total of three cases from their level. The police of Laheri police station has registered two such cases on their own and Bihar police station has registered one such case. The remaining 5 cases are related to the burning or looting of property in the Laheri police station. The peace committee meeting in the afternoon was not successful. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also made a request to Patna for this, but now after this incident of the evening, the police are also scared due to the fear of increasing the uproar.
