Mumbai: The total number of infected people increased to 5,24,513 with 9,181 new cases of Coronavirus infection reported in Maharashtra on Monday. After more than 12 thousand cases for two consecutive days, a decrease in new cases was registered in the state today. The department said that with the death of 293 more patients, the number of those who lost their lives from this epidemic has increased to 18,050 in the state. The number of cured patients in the state rose to 3,58,421. Maharashtra now has 1,47,735 under-treated patients. The department said that 27,73,520 samples of Covid-19 have been tested so far in the state.

At the same time, the total number of cases in Thane has increased to 105904. So far, 3049 people have died in Thane. The number of active cases here is 20966. The number of coronavirus cases in Pune has gone to 114703. There are 40278 active cases in Pune. 71654 people have been cured in the city so far. At the same time, 2771 people have died here.

9 new cases in Dharavi
The recovery rate in Maharashtra is 68.33 percent while the death rate is 3.44 percent. At the same time, nine cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Mumbai’s slum Dharavi, with which the total number of infected people has increased to 2626. A BMC official said that out of 2626 patients, 2289 patients have fully recovered from this infection, while 79 are being treated. Fadnavis said condition in Maharashtra is critical
On the other hand, Maharashtra BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday that the situation of Kovid-19 in his state is serious and only 42 percent of the total cases of death due to infection across the country have been reported in the state. Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Fadnavis had reached a courtesy call on Goa Chief Minister and party leader Pramod Sawant. Fadnavis told reporters here that the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra should step up the investigation and create more separate habitat centers.
