Mumbai: The new variant of Coronavirus in the country is spreading at twice the speed of the Delta. It has taken entry in many states of the country. In such a situation, it is believed that this virus will rapidly engulf the entire country. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, 08 more cases of Omicron have been reported in Maharashtra. Of these, 7 patients are from Mumbai and 1 patient is from Vasai-Virar. The surprising thing is that none of them have any international travel history. State Health Department of Maharashtra gave this information.

7 out of 8 have taken the vaccine
According to the Department of Health, out of 8 Omicron patients found today, 3 are women and 5 are men. Their age is between 24 and 41 years. Three of these patients are asymptomatic. That is, no symptoms are showing in them. While five patients are showing minor symptoms. All the samples were taken in the first week of December. At the same time, 7 out of 8 people have taken the vaccine.

No one went abroad
Of the 8 new patients found in the state, not a single one had traveled abroad. Rather, one of them had traveled to Bengaluru and one to Delhi. While one patient is a resident of Rajasthan. Out of 8 infected, 2 are in hospital and 6 are in home isolation. At present, the Health Department is looking for people who came in contact with the new infected.

Two new cases were found on Monday
Earlier on Monday, two cases were reported in the state. One of which was a patient from Latur and Pune. Both of them had returned from Dubai. In which a 33-year-old male and a 39-year-old female are included. Both are asymptotic. Both of them have been isolated.

28 Omicron cases in Maharashtra
After the arrival of new cases of Omicron, the total number of infected in the state has increased to 28. Out of this, maximum 12 cases have been reported in Mumbai. While Pimpri Chinchwad (10), Pune city (2), Kalyan Dombivli (1), Nagpur (1), Latur (1) and Vasai Virar (1) have been found. However, 9 of these people were discharged from the hospital after their RT-PCR report came negative.

The number of Omicron infected in the country increased to 61
So far, Omicron has engulfed a total of 8 states in the country. The number of infected in the country has increased to 61. In which maximum of 28 cases has been found in Maharashtra. Apart from this, Omicron cases have been found in Rajasthan (17), capital Delhi (6), Gujarat (4), Karnataka (3), Andhra Pradesh (1), Chandigarh (1), and Kerala (1).

684 new cases, 24 deaths
In the last 24 hours, 684 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Maharashtra, while 24 patients died. After which the total number of infected in the state has increased to 66,45,136 and the number of dead has increased to 1,41,288. Apart from this, 686 people have returned home after getting corona-free. So far 64,93,688 people have been cured of corona in the state. At present, 6,481 active patients are undergoing treatment in the state.

If we talk about Mumbai, then 225 new cases of corona have been reported here within 24 hours, while only one patient has died. Apart from this, 206 people have returned home after getting corona-free for 24 hours. At present, there are 1769 active patients in the city and all of them are undergoing treatment.
