Corona infection in 139 more patients on cruise ship returned from Goa
At the same time, out of 1,827 passengers on board the Cordelia cruise ship that returned from Goa to Mumbai, 139 more passengers were found infected with the coronavirus on Wednesday. These are in addition to the 66 infected passengers in whom the infection has been confirmed in the past. Out of 66, 60 passengers returned to Mumbai while six landed in Goa.

A BMC official said that the passengers whose test report has come positive but do not have any symptoms will be kept in home isolation, while the passengers with symptoms will be kept in institutional isolation. Earlier, BMC’s Executive Health Officer Dr. Mangala Gomare had told PTI that 143 passengers are suffering from Covid-19 but late in the night the Municipal Corporation revised these figures to 139.

The BMC had collected samples of 1,827 passengers aboard the ship after it reached the International Cruise Terminal at Ballardpierre in South Mumbai.
