Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday greeted the Hindu community on Holi. The Prime Minister tweeted, “Many best wishes to our Hindu community for the festival of colors Holi.” Several other leaders including National Assembly Speaker Asad Kaiser also congratulated Hindu MPs and the community on the occasion.
Kaiser praised the role of the Hindu community in the development of Pakistan, saying, “This festival of colors gives an opportunity to spread happiness.” He said that all minority communities have the right to openly celebrate their religious festivals in Pakistan. Hindus are the largest minority community in Pakistan. According to official estimates, there are 7.5 million Hindus living in Pakistan.
