New Delhi: According to big news, a case of death of one person has come to light from the new variant Omicron of Corona. President Boris Johnson has said that a British man has died from Omicron. According to Reuters, he has told on Monday that the first person has died in Britain after being infected with the Omicron variant of Corona.

While sharing information about the first death from Omicron, Johnson cautioned people not to consider this form of the virus less than the delta form. Along with this, he also appealed to all the eligible people of the country to take a booster dose of the vaccine. During a visit to a clinic in west London to raise awareness for the Omicron emergency campaign, Johnson ruled out the possibility of further restrictions being imposed in the coming days to prevent the spread of the virus.

“It is true that people are being hospitalized due to Omicron and it is a pity that one patient has died due to Omicron,” the prime minister told reporters. He also mentioned that about 40 percent of the total cases of infection reported in London alone are suffering from Omicron.

According to the news, British scientists had warned that by the end of April, the death toll due to Omicron in the country could be from 25 thousand to 75 thousand. On the other hand, UK health officials said that Omicron is spreading more rapidly than the Delta variant. This virus is likely to become the major variant spreading in the UK in a few days.
