Beijing: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Friday that BRICS countries should work together to combat the Covid-19 coronavirus. Wang said this while addressing a meeting of foreign ministers of BRICS countries through video conference on Friday. The meeting was chaired by Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
The meeting was attended by India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar (South Africa’s Minister of International Affairs and Cooperation) Naledi Pandor and Brazilian Foreign Minister Ernesto Araujo. Wang said that BRICS countries should work together to meet the challenges of the Covid-19 epidemic and jointly strive to revive the global economy.
