Maharashtra: Due to Omicron, Maharashtra, which has struggled badly during both the waves of Kovid in cases of corona infection, is facing a third wave crisis. Many times more cases are coming in Maharashtra every day than the previous day. On Tuesday, about 11 thousand cases have come in Mumbai alone. Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar says that if 20000 cases are reported daily in the city, then lockdown will be imposed.

Pednekar said that the third wave of Kovid has not yet come to Mumbai, but the BMC and the state government are working to stop it. He said that in the tests being done now, the new virus of Delta and variants of Omicron are coming out in genome sequencing.

Delhi: Even in Delhi, the speed of Corona is proving to be heart-wrenching. About 5500 new cases have been registered in the capital on Tuesday. Although the Delhi government is not going to impose a lockdown at the moment. The Health Minister of Delhi has made it clear. There will be a curfew in Delhi on weekends i.e. Saturday and Sunday. That is, there will be a ban on leaving the houses during this time. Night curfew is already in force in the capital. In the meeting of DDMA, it has also been decided that except for the offices related to essential services in government offices, all people should work from home. Apart from this, it has also been asked to do 50 percent of work from home in private institutions.

West Bengal: 9,073 new cases of Covid-19 came in West Bengal on Tuesday, which is 49.27 percent more than the previous day. About half of these cases are from the capital Kolkata. Experts have already warned about the onset of the third wave of Covid in Kolkata. According to health experts, Kolkata, the largest metropolis of West Bengal and eastern India, is in the grip of the third wave of the Covid-19 epidemic, which is expected to persist till February and the cases of infection may reach their peak in the second week of this month. Due to the huge increase in the cases of infection, the Covid restrictions have been re-imposed in Bengal with orders to close all educational institutions and limit the attendance of personnel in offices to 50 percent. Bihar: In view of the increasing cases of corona in Bihar, the Nitish government has decided to impose a night curfew in the state from 10 pm to 5 am. Along with this, schools of class 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and all colleges will open with 50 percent attendance. All the places of worship will remain closed for the devotees till further orders, only priests will be able to perform the puja. Along with this, cinema halls, gyms, parks, clubs, stadiums, swimming pools will be completely closed.

Punjab: In view of the increasing cases of Covid-19, the Punjab government on Tuesday decided to impose a night curfew, close educational institutions, and operate cinema halls with 50 percent capacity. According to an order issued on Tuesday, the movement of people for all non-essential activities will remain prohibited from 10 pm to 5 am within the municipal limits of all cities and towns of Punjab. It was said in the order that the district officials have been directed to ensure that the restrictions are followed.
