Bengaluru: Border Security Force (BSF) Director General Rakesh Asthana said on Wednesday that Pakistan is using drones to monitor the border and smuggling weapons, explosives, and narcotics very effectively.
Asthana said at a seminar organized by the industrial body FICCI at the Aero India 2021 exhibition that drones were seen 167 times on the Western Front (Pakistani border) in 2019, while in 2020 77 drones were seen on this front. went. He said that there have been incidents of dropping weapons, ammunition, explosives, and intoxicants through drones, especially in the Punjab and Jammu sectors.
