New Delhi: The Government of India has taken an important decision regarding the import of goods. The government has decided to ban the import of goods. The government has banned the import of gold jewelry along with many items.

According to the government, it will help in reducing the import of many non-essential items. Apart from banning the import of gold jewelry, it has also made it mandatory to have a license for its export. At the same time, no restrictions have been imposed on the India-UAE agreement. DGFT has issued a notification stating that the import policy of many products has been amended.

Some gold jewelry imports in April-May this financial year exceeded US$ 110 million. It was mainly imported from countries like UAE, Indonesia, and America.
