New Delhi: Amidst the increased dispute in Russia-Ukraine Crisis, a large number of Indians living in Ukraine were trapped, who have been airlifted by Air India flight and brought back safely. It has more students. Indian students studying in Ukraine, after reaching here on Tuesday night, said that they are happy to return to their country due to the escalating tension between Russia and Eastern European countries. Most of these students are pursuing MBBS in Ukraine. At present, everyone’s condition is normal.

Air India flight AI 1946 carrying about 240 Indians from Ukraine landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport at 11.40 pm on Tuesday night. It took off from Boryspil International Airport in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv at around 6 pm (Indian time). The airline operated a Boeing 787 aircraft, which took off for Ukraine in the morning, to bring the Indians. Officials said about 240 passengers were on board the plane.

Riya, a student who reached Delhi from Ukraine, told that the situation there (in Ukraine) is normal. We followed the advice of the embassy. After landing at the airport, 22-year-old MBBS student Anil Rapriya said, “I am happy to be back in my country. Amidst the changing situation in Ukraine, the Indian Embassy had asked us to leave the country, after which I have just reached India. Huh.

Asked to leave Ukraine
Apoorva Bhushan, a resident of Ranchi, said that the advice of the Indian Embassy was received on our official WhatsApp group. It said that in view of the current situation in Ukraine, students should leave the country temporarily, so we followed the advice and left.

Four more flights will be operated, Embassy issued advisory
Apart from this, four other flights will be operated. Issuing an advisory, the Embassy of India said, “Four flights from Kyiv to Delhi will also operate on February 25, February 27, and March 6, 2022.”

TS Tirumurti, India’s representative in the United Nations Security Council, said that there are more than 20 thousand Indians living in Ukraine and its border areas, including students.
