New Delhi: The case of the disappearance of gold worth Rs 45 crore from the CBI custody in Tamil Nadu was not even cold that now 1 crore 10 lakh from the office of the Customs Department in Jamnagar, Gujarat (Gujarat). A complaint has been filed for the disappearance of gold. The police has registered a case against some unknown employees of the Customs Department in this case. These people had initially conducted a long internal investigation for four years in this case.

Police officials of Jamnagar B Division said that Sona Bhuj belonged to the Customs Department, which was kept in the Jamnagar office after the 2001 earthquake. When Bhuj office arrived to take the gold in its custody a few days ago, it was found that 2,156.722 grams of gold worth Rs 10 million had disappeared.

According to police officials, in 2001, the Bhuj Customs Department of Kutch had decided to keep 3,149.398 grams of seized gold in a safe place due to an earthquake falling building. At that time, the responsibility of keeping gold safe was entrusted to the Jamnagar Customs Department. In 2016, when the Bhuj office was repaired, the Bhuj Customs Department took the sealed gold from the Jamnagar office in its custody. When the key of the suitcase in which the gold was kept was sought, it was found that the key of the suitcase was lost somewhere. After this, the lock of the suitcase was broken. Later, when the Bhuj Customs Department examined gold, out of 3,149.398 grams of gold, 2,156.722 grams of gold came out less.

Explain that the CBI team raided the office of Surana Corporation Limited in Chennai in the year 2012. During the raid, the CBI seized 400.5 kg of gold in the form of gold bricks and ornaments. The seized gold was sealed and kept in CBI’s safe custody, but now more than 103 kg gold is missing from the seized gold.
