New Delhi: News agency ANI quoted sources as saying that former India cricketer Roger Binny will replace Sourav Ganguly as the next BCCI President, an official decision will be taken soon.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly and current Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president, who has taken several major decisions during his tenure, may not be associated with BCCI in the coming weeks.

According to sources, a round of meetings has been held between the top officials to discuss the next election of BCCI. Another round of meetings is scheduled to be held in Delhi next week where the state associations will share their views on the next BCCI elections.

Sources said that former Indian cricketer and World Cup-winning cricketer Roger Binny is believed to be the frontrunner to replace Ganguly as BCCI president. Whereas, Jay Shah is expected to continue as the BCCI secretary.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India will conduct elections for the roles of President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Treasurer.
