After the incident, Nagaland Chief Minister Nefio Rio has appealed to the people for peace. He has also formed an SIT to investigate the matter. Today in this regard, the CM said in a tweet, “The unfortunate incident of killing of civilians in Mon Ke Oting Mein is highly condemnable. I express my condolences to the bereaved families and wish the injured a speedy recovery. Now this incident will be investigated by a high-level SIT and justice will be done as per the law of the land, I appeal to all sections of the society for peace.”

On the other hand, Home Minister Amit Shah has also expressed his grief over this incident and tweeted saying, “Very distressed by the unfortunate incident of Oting in Nagaland. I extend my deepest condolences and condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives here. Now a high-level SIT constituted by the state government will conduct a thorough investigation into the incident so that justice can be provided to the bereaved families.”
