The Government of Singapore has said that the B.1.167 variant of Corona is having more impact on children. Singapore Health Minister Ong Ye Kung has said that children are becoming more victims of the new variant of Corona, B.1.617. It is being said that this variant of Corona is spreading very fast. Singapore has imposed strict restrictions on people gathering and public activities after the case of Covid-19 escalated.
However, there is no definite data in Singapore as to how many children have fallen victim to this new variant. The Health Minister says that there has been a spurt in new cases in the country, because of this it is very important to stop the movement of people.
