New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has officially announced the results for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 today, March 19, 2025. Candidates who appeared for this prestigious engineering entrance examination can now check their results by visiting the official websites: gate2025.iitr.ac.in and goaps.iitr.ac.in.
According to the official notification, the detailed scorecards will be made available for download starting March 28, 2025. However, it’s important to note that only candidates who meet the qualifying cut-off scores will be able to download their scorecards.
The GATE 2025 examination was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across multiple sessions on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The exam was held in two daily sessions – from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM – covering a total of 30 different subject papers.
Prior to the result announcement, IIT Roorkee had released the provisional answer keys on February 27, 2025, providing candidates an opportunity to raise objections until March 1, 2025. Subject experts have reviewed these objections and made necessary amendments to the final answer key, which is being released alongside the results.
The GATE 2025 examination featured three types of questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, designed to evaluate candidates’ knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
The GATE score remains valid for three years from the date of result announcement and is accepted by several premier institutes across India for admission to postgraduate programs, including IISc Bangalore and all IITs. Additionally, many public sector undertakings (PSUs) use GATE scores for recruitment purposes.
Candidates checking their results should carefully verify all details on their scorecards, including name, photograph, registration number, examination paper code, marks obtained, and final GATE score.
