Bengaluru: In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a family in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout is grappling with the loss of their young daughter following a devastating accident that occurred late last night. The child, just one and a half years old, was fatally injured when her father, unaware of her presence, accidentally drove the car over her.
The family had just returned home around 11:30 PM from a joyous wedding celebration in Channapatana. After unloading their vehicle, the parents were unaware that their daughter had silently followed her father to the car. Standing innocuously near the vehicle’s door, she was not seen by her father who proceeded to move the car, leading to the tragic incident.
Residents quickly intervened, rushing the little girl, identified as Shaiza Jannat, to the nearest hospital. Despite the immediate medical attention and efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries. The entire sequence of events leading to this tragedy was captured on a nearby CCTV system, providing a clear account of the accident.
