Kolkata: In a significant breakthrough, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR and arrested Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, in connection with the rape and murder of a junior doctor. Alongside Ghosh, Kolkata Police Station House Officer (SHO) Abhijit Mandal has also been taken into custody.
