New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki’s cross-compact SUV may be on the verge of closure in the Indian market, but this car is selling fast in foreign markets. The crossover received a significant facelift in the global market last year, which was not launched in the Indian market. Currently, its price in the Indian market starts from Rs 9 lakh, while for the top model its price goes up to around Rs 13 lakh.
Now, Suzuki has launched a full hybrid variant of the S-Cross in overseas markets. Earlier, the S-Cross was only offered with a mild-hybrid powertrain. The full hybrid engine is offered with an auto gear shift and the mild hybrid powertrain will be available only with the manual transmission. There is also an AllGrip four-wheel drive system on offer with Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock modes.

It is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. There are also paddle shifters to take manual control of the gearbox. It has a top speed of 175 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 12.7 seconds.
Features are awesome
The base variant in the global markets is Motion. It gets 17-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, keyless entry, a start/stop engine and push buttons for dual-zone climate control. Talking about other features, there are heated front seats and front and rear parking sensors. For safety, the car gets 7 airbags, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control with a speed limiter, and traffic sign recognition.
