Mumbai: After three consecutive days of questioning by the NCB probing the drugs angle surfaced during the investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput, Sushant Singh Rajput finally arrested Rhea Chakraborty (Rhea Chakraborty). After Riya’s arrest, her family was informed about her arrest under the normal process. Giving information, NCB said that Riya has been arrested under the NDPS Act. Earlier, NCB had arrested Riya’s brother Shovik over drug connection. After his arrest, Riya was taken to Sine Hospital for a medical test. Riya will be presented in court after the medical test.
Today Riya Chakraborty appeared before the NCB for questioning in the case of drugs angle for the third consecutive day. Riya reached the NCB office at Ballard Estate in South Mumbai at around 10:30. During this time, Mumbai Police was present for their protection. Riya was questioned by NCB for six hours on Sunday and eight hours on Monday. NCB continued to interrogate Riya on Tuesday. The SIT constituted by NCB will now further inquire some more people.
The agency said earlier that it was getting ‘Riya’s support’ in the narcotics case involving actor Sushant Singh Rajput. On June 14, 34-year-old Sushant was found dead in his flat in Mumbai’s suburban Bandra. After interrogating Riya on Monday, NCB Deputy Director General (South-West Region) Mutha Ashok Jain told reporters that the agency was ‘doing its job in a professional and orderly manner’ and detailed the facts revealed in the case Will give to the court.
The NCB obtained mobile phone chat records and other electronic data to investigate the case, indicating that these people had allegedly purchased some banned drugs. The NCB arrested three people in the case last week. Earlier, Riya was also questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and CBI (CBI), who are investigating the Rajput death case from various aspects.
