Ujjain: The area of ​​Jyotirlinga Mahakal temple will be seen in a few months. Under the Mahakal-Rudrasagar Integrated Development Project (Soil), beautification is being done here. Under this, the main entrance of the temple, the 700 meter long heritage wall (corridor) and the lotus pond have started taking shape. The first phase plan is targeted to be completed by June-2021. The project is also mentioned in the Supreme Court’s decision in the Jyotirlinga erosion case on 1 September last. The court has directed to work on the scheme soon and submit a detailed report.

Shriganesh Talab will be built in front of the entrance

A 12 meter high grand entrance is being built near the Triveni Museum. The pillars of this gate, constructed of red stone, will have statues of Lord Shiva with dancing postures. Nandi will be placed at the gate. There will be a statue of Yaksha and Yakshini on either side of the gate. Shriganesh Talab will be built in front of the gate. A 9 feet high statue of Lord Ganesha will be installed in it.

Heritage wall will be no vehicle zone

A 920 meter long heritage wall is being built from the main entrance to the Mahakal temple. It has been built about 700 meters. On this, temple architecture-based pillars will be built every 10 meters. The corridor will have 200 stone idols. This will be a no vehicle zone. In this, devotees will have the convenience of commuting on foot or by e-rickshaw. There will be LED lights, CCTV cameras, audio speakers, pollution related information boards.

Huge idols of Sapta Rishis

The 42 feet high Shiva pillar is built behind the Triveni Museum. A 12 feet high Panchmukhi Shiva statue will be installed on it. It will have huge sculptures of Saptarishis made of round fiber. Lotus pond is being built nearby. In the middle of this, a 10 feet high stand and 15 feet high mountain will be sculpted on the statue of Shiva.

54 shops of worship materials will be built
Construction of Mahakal theme park is yet to begin. It will be built from Mahakal temple to Bharat Mata temple. It will have 18 to 25 feet tall statues of Lord Shiva installed. Chairs will be installed to seat 2 thousand devotees. Here 54 shops of worship materials will be built. The facility center will also be built here. The city’s second multi-level car parking is to be built near the Triveni Museum for Rs 27.19 crore.

60 percent work will be completed in next two months
Soil project part-1 has completed 32 percent. The lotus pond, heritage wall (corridor), is becoming the gateway. The work of Shiva Pillar, Midway, Sculpture is in progress. 60 percent work will be completed in the next two months. Sculptures have become sculptures. It is yet to be installed. The work of Mahakal theme park will also start as soon as the rain ends.

Report to be given in six weeks
The Supreme Court has sought a detailed report in six weeks about the scheme. It is also said that the plan should be expedited. Also, the officials have started strict monitoring of the work related to the project. The plan will gain further momentum following the directions of the Supreme Court.
