The minimum temperature of 5 cities of the state fell between 2 to 4 degrees. In 25 districts of the state, the temperature has come between 5 to 9 degrees. The Meteorological Department estimates that the cold wave will continue in Madhya Pradesh for the next 3 days. After January 22, there are chances of rain along with the fog. In these circumstances, there is absolutely no hope for people to get relief from the cold in the month of January.

In many cities of Gwalior Chambal, the minimum temperature of the night has come down to around 3 degrees. The temperature of all four metros of the state remained below 10 degrees. The minimum temperature on Wednesday night in Jabalpur and Bhopal was 7 degrees, while Indore recorded 9 degrees last night. Last night, the minimum temperature of only Khandwa, Narsinghpur, and Seoni in the state was more than 10 degrees.

The Meteorological Department says that the snowfall in Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh of North India is affecting Madhya Pradesh. Because of these states, the wrath of cold waves is visible in the state. Due to the cold wave, the minimum night temperature in the cities of the state has come down to 2 degrees. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of not getting relief from the cold wave for the next 3 days. Meteorologist Chandrakant Upadhyay says that due to a cold wave coming from North India for the next 3 days, severe winter will continue in Madhya Pradesh. There, there is a possibility of rain in the region around January 22. If it rains, the effect of fog and frost will increase in the state in the last week of January.
