New Delhi: The first match of the three-match T20 series being played between India and New Zealand was washed away by rain. In the second match, Suryakumar Yadav played such an innings that rained runs. Playing blistering innings, this batsman scored 111 runs in 51 balls. India scored 191 runs for 6 wickets, in response to which the entire New Zealand team was able to score only 126 runs. After the match, the captain of the host team, Kane Williamson, praised Surya’s innings.
Kane said, “The game we showed in this match was not the best from anywhere. The innings played by Suryakumar Yadav were amazing. This was the best innings of all that I have seen so far. He played some shots that I had never seen before. The Indian team played very well today, we did not show a good game at all.
“We could not get that rhythm while bowling, nor could we get wickets. Even during the batting, our team could not get the desired rhythm. It was very disturbing.
“I would like to say again that the innings played by Suryakumar Yadav in this match made the difference between victory and defeat. When we got down to chase the target, a light swing was being seen and the Indian bowlers left no stone unturned to take advantage of it. Where we lacked during this match, there is a need to pay attention to it. We would like to improve by removing the shortcomings. There is a need to see those small things, sometimes some special innings are seen. Suryakumar is the best player in the world.”
The second match of the three-match T20 series against New Zealand on Sunday was one-sided. India first scored a big score of 191 runs with Suryakumar’s blistering century innings. Thanks to the spin bowlers, the visiting team was bundled out for just 126 runs. Deepak Hooda’s bowling was the most spectacular, he took 3 wickets in a single over and ended the game for the Kiwi team.
Hooda created an unmatched record
Indian all-rounder Deepak Hooda, who has played only 14 T20 Internationals, has shown such a performance in a short time, which would be impossible to repeat. Hooda has become the first Indian to take 4 wickets in T20 cricket within a century. In 2022 against Ireland, he scored an inning of 104 runs. Now he has taken 4 wickets for 10 runs against New Zealand. It is very difficult to do wonders of taking a century and 4 wickets in T20 International.
