New Delhi: According to the big news of the afternoon, today India’s largest dairy product suppliers Amul and Mother Dairy have increased the prices of their milk by Rs 2/litre. With this, now the new prices will be applicable from August 17.
Under this, from Wednesday, August 17, the price of 500 ml of Amul Gold will be Rs 31, the price of 500 ml of Amul Taza milk will be Rs 25 and the price per packet of 500 ml of Amul Shakti milk will now be Rs 28. At the same time, the maximum selling price has increased by 4% after the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation increased it by Rs 2/litre.

At the same time, after increasing the price of Amul’s milk by Rs 2, now Mother Dairy has also decided to increase the price of milk. Due to this, the customers have got another shock of inflation. At the same time, the company has announced that it has increased the prices of its milk by Rs 2/litre. In such a situation, now Mother Dairy’s full cream milk will be available at Rs 59 a liter today. At the same time, from tomorrow it will be available to you at Rs 61 / liter with an increased price of Rs 2. At the same time, toned milk will be available at Rs 51 / liter, while cow milk will be available at Rs 53 / liter.
The GCMMF said the increase of Rs 2 per liter translates into a 4 percent increase in MRP which is lower than average food inflation. It added that this price hike is being done “due to the increase in the overall cost of operation and production of milk”. The cattle feeding cost alone has increased to about 20 percent compared to last year. Considering the rise in input costs, our member unions have also increased farmers’ prices in the range of 8-9 percent over the previous year.
Amul as a policy passes on almost 80 paise of every rupee paid by consumers for milk and milk products to the milk producers. “The price revision shall help in sustaining remunerative milk prices to our milk producers and to encourage them for higher milk production”, the GCMMF said.
