New Delhi: Russia’s Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said on Wednesday that the US, a dictator in velvet gloves, aspires to become a global superpower under the guise of democracy and freedom. During a press briefing, Alipov said, “The US only seeks global prominence under the guise of democracy, freedom and a rules-based international order. He makes these rules under the guise of his consulting partners and associates.
Russia’s ambassador to India told America a dictator country
Russia’s ambassador Denis Alipov said, “Countries that go outside the American line, stop being partners in it, then they become enemies. It’s black and white. There is no gray color in the middle. It’s like a dictatorship in velvet gloves.” The Russian ambassador said that Russia is being accused of waging war, while Ukraine has been at war for eight years. He alleged that the Ukrainian military and Russian haters have been shelling residential areas of the Donbass for years on a large scale.
He thanked India for a fair and neutral position regarding the entire conflict and assured Russia’s support in the evacuation of Indian nationals trapped in Ukraine. Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said, “We are India’s strategic allies. Russia is grateful to India for the balanced position displayed in the United Nations. India understands the depth of this crisis.”
Sanctions imposed on Russia have no effect on the defense deal with India
Will sanctions against Russia also impact defense deals with India, mainly the delivery of S-400 missile systems? Speaking on this issue Denis Alipov said, however, “As far as the delivery of S-400 missile systems to India is concerned, do not expect any hurdles. There are ways to continue this deal without any constraints. The old or new sanctions on Russia will not affect this defense deal in any way.
America closed its airspace for Russian flights
Meanwhile, Alipov also condoled the death of an Indian national in Kharkiv and assured to initiate an investigation into the matter. For your information, let us tell you that America has also closed its airspace for Russian flights. US President Joe Biden has also announced that the US, along with its allies, is working to impose tougher sanctions on Russia. Russian banks, financial institutions and prominent individuals are being targeted.
