There have been a total of 33 patients of this new Covid mutant in the country. Out of which two patients are in the capital Delhi, while 17 patients are in the state of Maharashtra, which is badly affected by the delta variant in the second wave of the corona. Apart from these, patients infected with the Omicron variant have also been found in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Karnataka. In such a situation, the increase in the number of patients is causing concern, but despite this, people are still hesitant to take the full dose of the corona vaccine, which has become the main weapon of prevention.

Healthcare workers and frontline workers are at the forefront of those who do not take the second dose after getting a vaccine of Corona in the country. At the same time, the number of lakhs also includes people above 45 and 60 years. Till 10 December 2021, a total of 131.18 crore vaccine doses have been installed in India. In which both the first and second doses are included. On the other hand, talking about the vaccine, people have taken the maximum dose of Covishield. This is followed by Covaxin and Sputnik etc.

According to the data released by the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and ICMR, so far corona vaccination campaign has been conducted in the country in five categories. The campaign started on 16 January 2021, first the healthcare workers of the country and then the frontline workers were vaccinated. According to the data, till December, 1,03,85,305 healthcare workers in the country have taken the first dose of the vaccine. Whereas only 95,79,660 healthcare workers have got the second dose in comparison to them. In such a situation, around five lakh health workers are still hesitant to take the second dose. It is worth noting that 11 months have passed since the vaccination facility was started for them.

On the other hand, talk about frontline workers, including other staff working in hospitals, people engaged in public, essential, and service work. Of these, 11, 79, 69, 122 elderly people have taken the first vaccine so far. While the number of elderly people taking the second dose is 8,45,35,083.
