Terrorist attack on Pakistan’s stock exchange, nine dead including terrorists

Karachi: Four heavily armed militants attacked the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday morning, killing four security guards and a police sub-inspector. The media reports said that four terrorists were also killed in the shootout. Geo News reported that unknown terrorists indiscriminately opened fire and hurled grenades while trying to enter through the main gate of the building. Police said that all the militants have been killed, while five people were injured in the attack.

Four security guards and one sub-inspector of police were also killed in the attack. Pakistan Stock Exchange Director Abid Ali Habib said, “An unfortunate incident happened on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. They entered our parking area and shot everyone. ” The firing of terrorists caused panic among the people present in the building. Sindh Province Governor Imran Ismail has condemned the incident. “Strongly condemn the attack on the Pakistan Stock Exchange,” he said on Twitter. This attack has been done to weaken our fight against terrorism. The IG and security agencies have been instructed to capture the perpetrators alive and punish their bosses severely. We will protect Sindh at all costs. ” Police and Ranger have reached the spot and the entire area has been cordoned off.
