At the same time, now the Chief Minister of the state Uddhav Thackeray has announced to open local trains for the general public. Uddhav Thackeray said that from August 15, Mumbai local trains have been allowed to travel to those who have taken both doses of the corona vaccine. And it has been 14 days for both of them.
Uddhav Thackeray said, a year ago we also thought that Covid will be gone in a year, but it did not happen. Still don’t know how much wave is to come. He said that Mumbai’s local train service will be started from August 15, but only those people who have taken both doses of corona vaccine will be allowed to travel on the train.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that passengers traveling in the local train can download (local) train pass through the mobile app. Those who do not have a smartphone can collect photo passes from municipal ward offices in the city as well as from suburban railway stations.
Local train service was suspended in April
It is noteworthy that due to the dreaded second wave of the Covid-19 epidemic this year, the suburban train service here was suspended for the general public in April. At present, only government employees and people providing essential services can travel in local trains.
More than 5 thousand new cases in 24 hours
In Maharashtra, 5,508 new cases of the corona were reported in the last 24 hours, which is 553 less than the day before. At the same time, 151 more patients died during this period. The number of deaths is also 36 less than a day earlier. In the last 24 hours, 1,96,307 tests were conducted in the state.
