New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the result of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination (CSE) 2025. The results were announced on June 11, just over two weeks after the exam was conducted on May 25, 2025. Over 10 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, vying for 979 coveted positions in India’s top civil services.
How to Check Your UPSC Prelims 2025 Result
- Visit the official UPSC website: upsc.gov.in
- On the homepage, click on the “UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 Result” link.
- The result is provided in PDF format, listing the roll numbers of all candidates who have qualified for the Mains.
- Use Ctrl+F to search for your roll number in the PDF.
- Download and save the PDF for future reference.
Note: A name-wise list of qualified candidates will be released later by UPSC.
What’s Next for Qualified Candidates?
Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the result PDF must now complete the Detailed Application Form (DAF) between June 16 and June 25, 2025, on the UPSC website. Only those who submit the DAF will be allowed to appear for the Mains examination.
The UPSC Mains 2025 is scheduled to start on August 22 and will be conducted over five days, covering nine descriptive papers, including Essay, General Studies, Optional Subjects, and qualifying language papers.
