Indore: Since the announcement of Diljit Dosanjh’s much-anticipated Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024, social media has been abuzz with allegations of ticket black-marketing. Fans have expressed frustration over exorbitant prices, with some pointing fingers at the popular Punjabi actor-singer himself. Amid growing concerns, Diljit addressed the issue head-on during his recent concert in Indore, sending out a strong message to his fans and critics alike.

Diljit’s Fiery Response to Allegations

While performing in Indore, Diljit broke his silence, asserting that he has no involvement in the illegal resale of concert tickets. He shared his disappointment at being blamed for the actions of unscrupulous individuals, emphasizing that such practices are beyond an artist’s control.

“For a long time, people in our country have been going against me, saying the tickets are being sold in black. So, it’s not my fault that the tickets are getting sold in black. If you buy a ticket for ₹10 and sell it for ₹100, then what’s the fault of the artist?” he questioned.

Quoting renowned poet Rahat Indori, Diljit added poignantly:
“Not in my cage, put it somewhere else. You’ve brought the sky, fine, you may put it on the ground. Sir, where will you go to find my killers now? Do one thing, put the blame on me.”

He reiterated his fearlessness in facing criticism, stating, “People from the media, blame me as much as you want. I don’t have any fear of being defamed. I don’t have any tension.”

Black-Marketing: An Age-Old Issue

Diljit shed light on the long-standing issue of black-marketing in India’s entertainment industry. “This is not something new. Since the time of cinema in India, the black marketing of tickets has been going on for a long time, only the avenues have changed,” he concluded.

Tour Highlights and Upcoming Shows

Diljit’s Dil-Luminati India Tour has been a massive success so far. He kickstarted the tour with a spectacular show in Delhi and went on to captivate audiences in cities like Jaipur, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, and Bengaluru. Up next, he is set to perform in Chandigarh and Guwahati, with fans eagerly awaiting these stops.

Adding to the excitement, Diljit recently announced a Mumbai show scheduled for December 19, calling the city “a city of dreams and magic.” Expressing his enthusiasm, he said, “I am thrilled to finally bring the Dil-Luminati experience to my fans here.”

Fans’ Takeaway

While the ticketing controversy continues to spark debates, Diljit’s candid acknowledgment of the issue and his refusal to shy away from criticism have only strengthened his bond with fans.
