New Delhi: Samit Dravid, the son of legendary Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid, has been selected for the India U-19 team for the upcoming series against Australia U-19. This marks his first call-up to the national U-19 squad, where he will participate in both white-ball and red-ball formats.
The India U-19 team will face Australia U-19 in a series of three one-day matches and two four-day matches. The one-dayers will be held in Puducherry, while the four-day matches will take place in Chennai. The series is scheduled for September and October.
Samit Dravid’s Recent Performances
Samit recently made his senior men’s cricket debut, representing the Mysuru Warriors in the ongoing Maharaja T20 Trophy in Karnataka. Batting in the middle order, he scored 82 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 114. Besides his batting skills, Samit also contributes as a medium-pace bowler.
