New Delhi: Motorola, fresh off the successful launch of its premium Moto Razr 50 Ultra, is gearing up to introduce a more budget-friendly version of its iconic flip phone to the Indian market. The company strategically delayed the announcement of the standard Motorola Razr 50 to ensure its flagship Ultra model received the attention it deserved. Now, with the spotlight shifting, Motorola is teasing the arrival of the Razr 50, promising a blend of style, functionality, and affordability.

The upcoming Motorola Razr 50 has already made waves in China, where it’s been well-received for its sleek design and impressive features. The latest teasers hint that the Indian version will retain the same appeal, boasting a slightly larger outer display compared to the previous Moto Razr 40. This enhancement allows users to perform more tasks without needing to unfold the device, adding convenience to the stylish package. The design closely mirrors that of the more expensive Moto Razr 50 Ultra, though the standard model will feature a slightly smaller outer screen, making it a more compact option for users.

In terms of specifications, the standard Motorola Razr 50 in China comes equipped with a 3.6-inch pOLED outer display, complemented by a 6.9-inch Full HD+ inner screen capable of reaching a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The device sports a dual-camera setup on the outer shell, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera. When unfolded, users will find a 32-megapixel selfie camera, ensuring high-quality photos whether the phone is open or closed.

Under the hood, the Razr 50 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor, a capable chipset designed to handle everyday tasks with ease. The device is backed by a 4,200mAh battery, supporting 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, offering ample power for a full day’s use.

While Motorola has yet to reveal the exact launch date and pricing for the Razr 50 in India, it’s expected to be significantly more affordable than the Ultra variant. For reference, the Moto Razr 50 Ultra was introduced in India for Rs 99,999. In China, the standard Razr 50 is priced at CNY 3,699 (approximately Rs 42,496), suggesting that the Indian pricing will also be positioned lower than the Ultra model, but likely at a premium compared to the Chinese market.

As anticipation builds, Motorola fans and tech enthusiasts alike are eager to see how the Razr 50 will fare in the Indian market. With its blend of premium features, stylish design, and a more accessible price point, the Razr 50 is poised to be a strong contender in the burgeoning flip phone segment.
