Ayodhya: Just over six months since the historic Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the temple has already amassed a staggering ₹55 billion in donations, marking an unprecedented outpouring of devotion and generosity from both Indian and international devotees. The continuous stream of contributions underscores the deep emotional and spiritual connection millions have with the sacred site, which has been a focal point of faith and reverence.

A Historical Campaign for a Monumental Cause
The monumental fundraising efforts began even before the temple’s construction, with a dedicated fund dedication campaign launched ahead of the Bhoomi Pujan on August 5, 2020. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirkshetra Trust, responsible for overseeing the temple’s development, initially received an overwhelming ₹3,500 crore during this campaign. The momentum has only increased, with an additional ₹2,000 crore being donated in the three years since. The temple’s opening for public darshan post-Pran Pratishtha has further fueled this surge in donations.

Global Devotion: Contributions from Afar
Notably, the temple has also attracted significant financial support from abroad, with contributions totaling ₹11 crore. Among these, Nepal has emerged as the leading source of international donations, highlighting the widespread reverence for Lord Ram across borders. As the donations continue to pour in, the Ram Mandir is on track to set new records in religious fundraising, reflecting the profound impact of this spiritual landmark.

A New Era for Ayodhya
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony, held on January 22, 2024, marked a pivotal moment in the temple’s history. Following the Supreme Court’s landmark 2019 verdict, the temple’s construction began with a Bhoomi Pujan ceremony in August 2020. The Pran Pratishtha, signifying the consecration of the temple’s sanctum sanctorum, was a grand affair, attended by prominent figures from across India and the world. The temple officially opened for darshan on January 23, and since then, an unprecedented number of devotees have flocked to the site, eager to pay their respects to Ramlala and be part of this spiritual resurgence.

As the Ram Mandir continues to grow in both stature and significance, it stands as a testament to the enduring faith and unity of devotees worldwide.
