New Delhi: Yamaha Motor Company has expanded its Indian portfolio with the introduction of the AEROX 155 Version S, a scooter that promises to redefine urban commuting. Launched under the banner of ‘The Call of the Blue’ campaign, the AEROX 155 Version S is priced at Rs 1,50,600 (ex-showroom) and is exclusively available at Blue Square showrooms.
The scooter’s standout feature is the Smart Key technology, which offers a suite of functions aimed at enhancing convenience and security for riders. The system includes an answer-back feature, an unlock capability, and an immobilizer. The answer back function is particularly useful in crowded settings, allowing riders to locate their scooter through visual and auditory signals. The keyless ignition feature simplifies the starting process, eliminating the need for a traditional key, while the immobilizer secures the scooter against theft by disabling the engine when the key is not detected.
Beyond the Smart Key system, the AEROX 155 Version S boasts a sporty design with an X center motif and comes equipped with traction control. It is propelled by a cutting-edge 155cc Blue Core engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), delivering 15bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.9Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. This engine strikes a balance between high performance and fuel efficiency, making it ideal for city conditions.
The scooter also adheres to E20 fuel standards and features a standard hazard system along with an onboard diagnostics (OBD-II) system. Its design and specifications have been tailored to ensure a comfortable and dynamic riding experience. The AEROX 155 Version S has a lightweight build of only 126 grams, a ground clearance of 145mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 5.5 liters, all contributing to its appeal as a top choice for urban riders.
