Hero unveils Mavrick 440, its flagship motorcycle co-developed with Harley-Davidson

New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has unveiled its flagship motorcycle, the Mavrick 440, at the Hero World 2024 event. The Mavrick 440 is a power roadster that is co-developed with Harley-Davidson, the iconic American motorcycle brand. The Mavrick 440 will be available in five colour options and three variants, with different features and wheel types.

The Mavrick 440 features a muscular and aggressive design, with a round headlamp with H-shaped LED DRLs, a sculpted fuel tank with shrouds, a side-mounted exhaust, a flat handlebar, and a single-piece seat. The motorcycle also boasts of a fully digital instrument cluster that offers Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and phone alerts. Other features include full LED lighting, automatic headlamps, a USB-C charging port, and a slipper clutch.

The Mavrick 440 is powered by a 440cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that is shared with the Harley-Davidson X440. The engine produces 27bhp of power at 6,000rpm and 36Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox that benefits from an assist and slipper clutch. The motorcycle uses a trellis frame, upside-down front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, and disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS.

The Mavrick 440 will be available in three variants, with different colour options and wheel types. The base variant will come with spoke wheels and a single Arctic White colour scheme. The mid-spec variant will come with alloy wheels and two colour options – Celestial Blue and Fearless Red. The top-spec variant will come with machined alloy wheels and two colour options – Enigma Black and Phantom Black.

Mavrick 440

The Mavrick 440 will be launched in India in mid-February 2024, and the bookings will start from February 2024. The deliveries of the motorcycle will commence from April 2024. The Mavrick 440 is expected to be priced between Rs. 1.8 lakh and Rs. 2.2 lakh (ex-showroom). The Mavrick 440 will compete with other motorcycles in the 400cc segment, such as the KTM 390 Duke, the Bajaj Dominar 400, and the BMW G 310 R.
