New Delhi: The country’s first fully-automated driverless train service is set to launch on December 28. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off this train. The country’s first fully-automatic train will run on the Janakpuri West to Botanical Gardens of the Delhi Metro. This information was given by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

The Magenta Line of Delhi Metro is 37 kilometers long and is between Janakpuri West to Botanical Garden Metro Station in Noida. The DMRC said in a statement that Prime Minister Modi would flag off the country’s first ever fully automatic driverless train service on the 37 km long Magenta Line and travel on the 23 km long Airport Express Line (from New Delhi to Dwarka Sector 21). Will also issue fully operational National Common Mobility Card (NCMC).

The NCMC card, popularly known as ‘One Country, One Card’, is a valid card in many modes of transport, which can be used to pay for the use of metro, bus services across the country, as well as tolls and parking charges.
