Indore: The district court on Tuesday refused to release the controversial religious leader Computer Baba on bail in a case of forcible entry into a house and attempting to attack a person with a sword. First Class Judicial Magistrate (JMFC) MP Singh, after considering the arguments of both the parties, rejected the bail plea of ​​Namdev Das Tyagi (Computer Baba’s real name). At the same time, the 54-year-old religious leader has been ordered to be sent to jail in judicial custody till November 28.

Earlier, after the one-day police custody period ended, the city’s aerodrome police had produced Computer Baba in court. Officials said that in the case registered at the aerodrome police station, Computer Baba and some of his accomplices are accused of breaking into the house of a man named Rajesh Khatri and not only abusing and beating him but also attempting to attack him with a sword. . Khatri alleges that the incident took place about a month and a half ago because he had objected to the controversial religious leader regarding the ‘immoral activities’ going on in the ashram at Computer Baba’s Ambikapuri extension.

Public Prosecutor Vimal Mishra informed that during the police custody period of Computer Baba, the sword which was used in this crime has been recovered. At the same time, it was also informed that another court has allowed the Gandhi Nagar police in another case that they can interrogate Computer Baba, who is under judicial custody in the jail, on Wednesday. He informed that in this case, Computer Baba and some of his associates have been charged with indecency, assault and abuse on November 8 by a Gram Panchayat Secretary belonging to Scheduled Caste. It is also alleged in the FIR that the controversial religious leader threatened to kill the secretary of the panchayat of Jamburdi Hapsi village by using a gun and racist words.


The public prosecutor informed that during the interrogation in the jail, Computer Baba will also be questioned about the gun used in this crime. While officials said that the team of police and administration had demolished the allegedly illegal ashram of Computer Baba built on government land in Jamburdi Hapsi village adjacent to Indore city on November 8. Simultaneously, a religious leader who was awarded the status of Minister of State in previous BJP and Congress governments was sent directly to jail under Section 151 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CRPC) (precautionary arrest to prevent cognizable crime). Was. He informed that after this action, two criminal cases were registered against Computer Baba in the police stations of Gandhi Nagar and Aerodrome areas.
