Mumbai: In the Buldhana bus accident in which 25 people were burnt alive, a big disclosure had come to the fore regarding the driver of that bus. It has been told that the driver of the bus was drunk at the time of the accident. Significantly, on July 1, a bus going from Nagpur to Pune met with an accident on the Samruddhi Expressway. It has been revealed in the blood sample report of the driver of that bus that the driver was drunk at that time. Evidence of alcohol has been found in his blood. In the forensic report of the driver of the bus that met with the accident in Buldhana, shocking information has come to the fore that the bus driver was drunk at the time of the accident.
According to an investigation report by the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (RFSL) Amravati, the alcohol in the blood sample of driver Sheikh Danish on the day of the accident was above the legal limit of 30 percent. In such a situation, it is feared that the bus accident that happened at midnight on July 1 was not because of the Samruddhi Highway, but because of the drunken driving of the driver. The forensic report also examined the possibility that the accident was caused by a burst tire. For this, the marks and samples of the tires were also checked. However, this possibility has been ruled out.
Significantly, the bus accident took place around midnight from 30 June to 1 July. The forensic team took the blood sample of the bus driver on July 1 around noon. That’s why experts believe that during this time the amount of alcohol in the blood should be reduced. This means that the driver’s blood alcohol content at the time of the accident is likely to be several times higher than what is reported in the report.
Evidence revealed that the driver was asleep at the time of the accident, due to which the bus hit the divider and caught fire. A case of culpable homicide has been registered against the bus driver under section 304 of the IPC. The blood report of the driver can convict him. As a result of which he can be imprisoned for up to 10 years and a heavy fine.
